Come Out with Pride

Due to the many, many, many changes in community life in 2020, the majority of cities had to completely cancel their pride celebrations. Orlando, however, holds Pride in October and had another idea! Come Out with Pride 2020 was reimagined as a socially-distant parade to celebrate queer community, history, and legacy in safe way, and Slice Creative Network (a professional association for freelance creatives in the Themed Entertainment Industry) was offered a spot in the lineup, so when my friend Camrin Arresignor asked me to join his design team, I had to say yes.

We requested submissions from the community for the initial concept, and once the contest closed, we chose the design we felt was most viable and representative of our vision and set to work on schematic design and production. I had already relocated to Los Angeles at the time, so my primary role was concept design and creative development, but my incredible colleagues back in Orlando executed the concept beautifully.

Team: Cam Arreseigor, Alex Traum, Ray Camacho, Jordan Lakomiak, Dave Hall, and Mike Artwell
